When a leading pharmaceutical client needed to expand its clinical trial support capabilities in mainland Europe, Effective Project Solutions was engaged to manage the fit-out of a specialist storage and distribution centre in Bleiswijk, near The Hague. The project required precise coordination of construction, utilities, and temperature-controlled technologies to meet strict compliance and storage specifications.
Working as the client’s representative, EPS led the delivery of a highly technical facility designed to support cryogenic and ultra-low temperature product storage. This included installation of Liquid Nitrogen systems (to -196°C), Ultra-Low Temperature freezers (to -80°C), walk-in chillers and freezers, and high-density Kardex storage units. The project also covered critical infrastructure enhancements, such as a power upgrade from the local grid, new M&E services, and the addition of back-up generators with a 10,000L fuel tank.
Our team managed the full project lifecycle, capturing client requirements, defining the scope, and managing delivery through to implementation. By applying structured risk and cost management practices, we ensured that the client’s goals were achieved efficiently and safely, with full regulatory and operational alignment.
